Anyone who comes to work in the Netherlands from abroad needs health insurance. The regulations regarding health insurance differ per country. In the Netherlands, everyone who comes to live here, temporarily or otherwise, must take out health insurance. This is also the case if you are already insured in your home country. At the moment, taking out health insurance in the Netherlands is often a hassle. HollandZorg has changed this. We have health insurance for labour migrants, especially for foreign employees. Taking out an insurance policy with HollandZorg is a lot easier and also (temporarily) stopping it is no problem for us.
Taking out HollandZorg insurance
If you come to the Netherlands to live and work, there is a lot to arrange. To be able to take out health insurance, you need to be registered with the municipality where you are going to live. You can then take out your own health insurance with us, but your employer can also do this for you. If family members come to the Netherlands with you, it is important that they too are insured. In some cases, you will be entitled to care allowance, a contribution towards the costs of your premium. Your employer can arrange this for you as well. If you temporarily return to your country of origin, you can stop your HollandZorg insurance. When you return, it can easily be switched on again, without you having to arrange everything again.
A basic insurance is the standard health insurance, which entitles you to the most necessary care. You can think of admission to hospital, or a visit to the general practitioner. If you want other care to be reimbursed, you can opt for a supplementary health insurance policy for a foreigner. There are four supplementary insurance policies with HollandZorg. If you wish, you can also take out dental insurance separately. For more information, please visit our website or contact us. We will be happy to help you further.
