Tips to renovate your house

Are you planning to renovate your house? Great! Even though it will be challenging and frustrating at times, it will definitely be rewarding at the end. Hard work pays off. When you are moving into a new house, most things are already as you like it. However, if you live in an older house but don’t want to move, you have the option to renovate your house. Make your house look brand new! Renovating may include painting, tearing walls down, or placing a new kitchen or bathroom.

Where to start?
It is always a good idea to start with all the walls that have to be taken down. This will give a lot of mess and dust. You wouldn’t want all this mess to be on your new floor that you spend so much time on. Make sure the wall you’re taking down is not a bearing wall. Clean it up, but don’t go overboard. Washing windows is a task you do at the very end of the renovation.

Painting
If you have a lot of painting to do, it might be a good option to purchase a hvlp paintsprayer. This covers a big surface in little time. Ideal for the living room or the room of your son. You could get an electric paintsprayer so you can get to every wall in the house. Make sure you tape the edges so that there won’t be any paint in places you don’t want it to be.

Tip; you should always do your floor last. This is for when you spill any paint, it won’t matter because the floor will be removed anyways. Same goes for when the floor gets damaged by construction workers. Floors are a lot of work and if you don’t exactly know what you’re doing, you should definitely hire someone to do it for you. It takes a lot of time and precision that most people don’t have the patience for. Always look at all your options before you start on something big.
